Tyler TP8

I learned how important it is to log progress. To prepare Annie for the vocabulary section of her 100 questions civic test, ill her to practice writing. This is to make her feel more confident with her ability. When she takes her naturalization test, she will be asked to write out sentences that contains words that are used from her vocabulary list. This section of the test will require her to accurately write out the words she hears. During our sessions, I would first read aloud sentences that contained the words from the vocabulary list. I used internet sources that gave me a list with sentences to choose from.  Although this worked out well, I later learned that I didn't keep track of our progress. I seen the outcome of this when I started to get overwhelmed. I knew we were using the vocabulary from the list but I wasn't keeping track. Sentence usage was everywhere. Karen helped get me through my concerns. She gave me a vocabulary log, which was just a list of the vocabulary words with a space next to each word where you could log the date. When we covered a new word, next to it, I would log the date. This has been so helpful!
