Tyler TP 6

It was difficult for me to explain the difference between: lives, live, and live. My most difficult task was explaining the difference between, "I am watching something live." vs. "I love to live" There are both spelled the same but are pronounced differently based on the context they are used in. So instead of acting like I really knew the reason for this, I pulled up a worksheet that provided sentences that required my student to place the proper form of "live" in each sentence. This really helped me out. She was able to understand what I was trying to explain. These types of moments have happened often during our sessions. When they do, sometimes she'll say, "it's okay, that just English." It's really funny to hear her say this to me. Sometimes I feel embarrassed about my uncertainties, but I am glad that she is patient with my teaching.
