Another regular meeting with Plengchart We met in the Union
for lunch again. Today I was a bit
surprised, Plengchart asked me to correct him a bit more than I have been. I
thought I was doing a good job but it seems it wasn't good enough. So I made a mental note to correct more
often. After that the discussion turned
to dealing with co-workers. Apparently
some of the guys he shares office space with are being a bit unreasonable. I
was listening closely to see if it might be a cultural misunderstanding, but no
not in this case. It seems those people are
simply being unreasonable, and not cleaning up after themselves properly. I expressed my shock and disappointment that
people would behave in this way. At the end we came to the conclusion that
people are like that everywhere. We had
to end this session a bit early because Plengchart’s lab was across campus
today. However I am happy to report that he is making fewer errors during our
meetings. I know he’s been practicing his speaking, whatever he’s been doing
seems to be helping.
