The impact of the internet is amazing. Today I learned how difficult using the internet is for Annie. She told me that she never used her laptop before our sessions. I was astound. It was then that I realized how much of a crutch the internet was for me. I use it to do everything. But I understand how intimidating this can be for an English language learner, and the way the internet has advanced, I can see what makes its access seem scary. 

Annie has had her laptop for years, but she said only her husband basically used it. This whole time I've been assigning her internet practice, I had no idea she never used the system before. Her pace in progress begins to come more clear to me. I had to go through steps repeatedly because she didn't know anything. She is such a great learner!
