Tyler CP2
Dinner with the Kims was great. When they invited me I politely told them that I didn't eat any meat. It was a bit awkward trying to explain that I was a vegan, so I kept it simple. I didn't want to offend their invitation. But they were very nice about it. When I arrived, the dinner was spread out on the table. There were vegetables galore!! The menu consisted of raw veggies and cooked veggies with flour tortillas on everyones plate. They called these papers. I thought that was interesting. To add flavor, different sauces were offered. After putting the veggies on the papers with a little sauce, I had myself a meal! It was delicious. It was very nice to be with them in their home. You could feel the love they had for each other there. They both adored their children. I learned that Mr. Kim is in America to pursue his Masters in Public Administration, we were both surprised to see that we shared this in common. They've been here for two years now and really enjoy it. His wife loves to shop, we shared our excitement for Black Friday!! After dinner they welcomed me to tea.. my favorite!! I was able to try some korean brown rice tea. I had a very pleasant evening with them. I was thrilled I had been invited.
