Jordan TP3

On Tuesday, 11/13 I met with my tutoring partner Majdi for the first time at CIES. We only spoke for a few minutes, as I believe he had somewhere to be that afternoon and I had a meeting with Anwar, my conversation partner, who seems to be acquainted with Majdi through CIES classes. Majdi told me his double major is in Math and Finance, so I made a note to look for some articles in those subjects to help him study English in an area that will be both interesting and useful to him. He also said that he would like to work on his writing, which is probably tough for an EFL student from the Arab world where the English curriculum there is more fluency- than accuracy-focused, and is an important skill to have here at FSU, even for Math and Finance courses. We agreed to meet Saturday at 4pm in Strozier library.
