Jordan TP2

On Wednesday, 11/14 I met with Jason and Sally at the public library for the second time. They were waiting for me exactly where I had said goodbye to them the previous week, in the children's books section. They seemed happy to see me and eager to practice their English more. Jason read some books that were similar in style to the ones he read last week, and Sally read a chapter out of a more advanced book. I asked her if she wanted me to read aloud, to which she said yes, so I did my best inflections and voices while continuing the story she chose. Afterwards their mom asked (well, wrote, as she doesn't speak very well) me to talk with them about school. I asked them what they were studying and we talked briefly about their math, science and social studies classes. I also found out that they are interested in sports, specifically tennis/ping-pong, swimming, and volleyball. I'm looking forward to meeting with them again and encouraging their progress in English fluency.

  1. Good job speaking with their mom about their interests. Do you plan on incorporating this knowledge into your future lessons?
